Dear Westpark residents,

At the last Friends Meeting, we had a very positive discussion with some of you about the art and poetry in Westpark. As we would like to learn more about this and to inform the art strategy for the next phase of the development, we're organising another meeting which will focus on residents' thoughts and ideas on the Westpark art.

We invite you to join us at Westpark Academy on Thursday 23 February at 6pm.

The meeting will last about an hour, and will give you the opportunity to discuss the art and landscape in the current development, as well as look at the art strategy for the next phase. The meeting will take place in the wooden building located on the left when standing in front of the main school gates.

If you would like to attend, or if you have any questions, please send an email to

The West Park Nature Reserve is the first new park to be created in Darlington for 100 years.

It has over 30 acres of tree plantations, wildflower meadows and wetlands.

And there's more than just beautiful surroundings: specially commissioned stone artwork, poetry, a bike track, and a play park.

Come along and explore!
